STOP PRESS – ISA-UK postpones the 2020 Sign & Print Awards
Update (05.05.2020) due to the impact that the COVID-19 lockdown has had on the economy and manufacturing industries it is with regret that ISA-UK has taken the decision to postpone this year’s Sign & Print Awards until 2021. The awards had been scheduled to take place on 25 November at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester.
Robert Lambie, President of ISA-UK commented, “It would seem insensitive of us to promote our awards scheme when so many colleagues and friends in the sector are worried about and grieving for loved ones…Out of respect for those in the sign and print industry who are struggling, we’re postponing the entire 2020 Sign & Pring Awards not just the ceremony.”
By the industry, for the industry, the inaugural ISA-UK Sign & Print Awards 2020 is the only competition for the sign, print and visual communication sector endorsed by its leading trade association, ISA-UK. Formerly known as the British Sign & Graphics Association (BSGA), ISA-UK has been representing master sign makers for more than 100 years and is committed to building up and promoting the sector.
“The ISA-UK Sign & Print Awards has been designed to reflect the creativity, diversity and professionalism of (our) sector…We have consulted with a range of industry influencers…to create an awards scheme that is relevant, ambitious and aspirational…” (David Catanach, Director of ISA-UK)
The Awards will be free to enter and open to print and sign companies and suppliers of all sizes. Membership of ISA-UK is not a condition of entry. The Awards will feature 17 categories spanning project work, business excellence and individual achievement (including ‘the one to watch’ and ‘women in signage and print’). The Sign Design Society will be involved in judging entries for the wayfinding award.
