CAD Draughtsperson, John Anthony Signs (UK)
John Anthony Signs are a corporate sign company based in Essex, specialising in rollouts and rebrands. We are looking to recruit an experienced CAD draughtsperson for our Drawing Office.
This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday (8.00am to 4.30pm), with a quarter of an hour paid break in the morning, and a half an hour unpaid break at lunchtime: a total of 40 hours per week, paid weekly. Overtime is paid at time and a half and is expected during busy periods.
Typically the draughtsperson will receive an internal document (works order) which will detail specification, materials to be used and times allowed for the job. Using this document and any other information — typically clients artwork/drawings/visual packs and/or survey — the draughtsman is to produce technical CAD drawings and colour Corel drawings showing the exact way the sign is to be built and is to look. The draughtsperson will also produce the various plot Adobe print files required. All drawings produced to be saved as a pdf for sending for client approval. The draughtsperson will be expected to liaise with the estimator, project manager, and also the client incorporating any changes the client requires providing costs are not exceeded with any cost increase communicated back to the estimator. Lead times are always very tight so jumping from one job to another is very common.
